Parrsboro’s Artist Coop is celebrating its 10th year. Art Lab Studios & Gallery is a must to visit if you are looking for local artwork. A wide variety of workshops by local and visiting artists sell out quickly each season.
Fundy Bay Antiques & Collectibles on Main Street carries a wide selection of antique furniture, collectibles, jewelry, china, crystal and glass. The newest addition to the shop’s stock are rocks and minerals from the Eldon George collection. Novice rock hunters will be delighted to find several books on mineral and rock identification.
Explore the gardens and check out minerals, precious stones and locally created jewelry at Tyson’s Fine Minerals. Situated on Lamb’s Hill Road in a former ship captain’s home Tyson’s overlooks the harbour and most of Parrsboro. It is one shopping destination visitors cannot miss!
Did you forget your holiday read at home? Don’t despair! Parrsboro has a bookstore: Vickery House on Spring Street is open daily and surely has something that will spark your interest.
Looking for flowers? Parrsboro Floral Design has a great supply of flowers and plants for all occasions.
Allsortz on Main Street is a fun little shop selling gently used clothing at excellent prices. If you forgot your beach cover stop in and see what you can find!

HISTORY
Learn all about Supercontinent Pangea and visit the oldest dinosaur discovered in Canada at the Fundy Geological Museum, a great rainy day stop for the entire family.
Ottawa-House-by-the-Sea, a historic landmark and former summer home of Sir Charles Tupper is located on the original Parrsborough settlement (1742). Check their website for special celebrations and events.
Age of Sail Museum on Hwy 209 in Wards Brook/Port Greville is well worth a visit to learn more about the area’s significant role in shipbuilding and the distribution of goods around the world. The museum has a gift shop and cafe on site.
The website says “Imagine the power of the highest tides in the world – imagine the technology to harness it”. FORCE – Fundy Ocean Research Centre for Energy is Canada’s leading research centre for tidal stream energy. Make sure to visit this state-of-the-art interpretive centre on West Bay Road, about 8 km from Parrsboro. MUSIC & THEATRE
Following all the activities Parrsboro and area has to offer during the day are you looking for some world-class evening entertainment? Ship’s Company Theatre’s lineup of award-winning live performances and musical acts is sure to meet your expectations.
The Parrsboro Band Hall, the community hub for concerts, twice-a-month movies, concerts, Open Mic events and more. Sunday nights throughout the summer months everyone meets at The Parrsboro Bandstand from 6:30 – 8 pm for a free concert by various talented local musicians and bands. Bring your lawn chair and get into the groove! Donations are accepted on behalf of the performer’s charity of choice.

Glooscap Restaurant & Lounge (open year-round) located on Upper Main Street offers a family-friendly menu. Reservations recommended.
Harbourview Restaurant (seasonal) at the end of Pier Road is the go-to recommendation for seafood lovers. Try their award-winning lobster rolls! Reservations recommended, especially on weekends.
Pizza l’Amore on Main Street offers takeout pizza and Lebanese food.

The Ship’s Starboard Cafe is Parrboro’s newest food establishment for light lunches, specialty coffees, tea and hot chocolate. Closed Monday & Tuesday.
Tim Horton’s is across from the Bandstand, a Canadian institution.
Two Islands Brewery is the watering hole where everyone comes together to enjoy what’s on tap. Join the locals for bingo, trivia night and karaoke. Watch for live music events.
Preparing your own meals? There is always the Cross Roads Co-op, our local grocery store serving Parrsboro for decades.
Ken’s Grocery Store on Main across from Two Islands Brewery is the local Dollar and Convenience Store. Got the late-night growlies? Need a pop, chocolate bar and some chips? Ken’s is your go-to store, it even has an M&M freezer section. Ken’s is open from 7 am till 11 pm.
Parrsboro Farmer’s Market in the Anglican Church Hall takes place every Saturday 9 am – 1 pm from June till October.
Liquor store anyone? Parrsboro’s NSLC outlet is located on Upper Main near Harrison Hardware. Click on the link to find their hours of operation.
