There was a chill in the air but I had planned to check out a new trail as a possibility for my Wednesday hikers. My friend and I enjoyed the hike, we even found a way to make the original trail connect to create a loop. The terrain was steep, too steep for the varied abilities of my regular group. But Anne, her dog Molly and I enjoyed the woodlands and spectacular view from the top after climbing 158 meters over 2 km. The descent was easy and didn’t require much effort. But we were glad for our cleats because it was so much safer to navigate some snow covered icy patches.

A cup of steaming tea by the wood stove concluded our afternoon excursion. A Sunday well spent!
I love a looped trail!
