Happy Lunar New Year!

I went to the beach and just about the time I was ready to leave I met my very own dragon!

May this be a prosperous year for all of us!

  1. An amazing creation by a person or persons with a great sense of humour and artistry for all to see. Those long, crooked fingers are fantastic, not to mention the head of the dragon. Great photos of it all. One just cannot help but chuckle at the spectacle and its’ creator(s) imaginative construction!

      1. So is this truly a natural serendipitous creation, not one of imaginative human construction using disparate found elements? I had assumed it was the latter but if it is nature’s work alone as you suggest, I am in utter awe! Good for you Anna for the excellent ‘photo-captures’ from different angles. They are frame- worthy and I can imagine them in a canvas-wrapped collage that invites long moments of scrutiny by appreciative human observers of nature’s own wondrous creations such as yourself. I have always loved and collected when I could, driftwood. At one point I had my own little driftwood “ Guardian Monster “with a tiny stone eye on our deck. I had picked it up on a beach in Sechel and brought it to its’ new prairie home. To others it likely looked like a mere piece of wood but to me it had a foreboding, warning face that said “no tresspassing” very clearly. It definitely aged and gradually cracked after several hot prairie summers but I quite treasured it for the happy memories of wandering the beaches in Sechelt.
