Perhaps it’s not what the doctor ordered but it certainly was a nice change of scenery. With Colin’s long-awaited medical appointment in Halifax at the IWK we booked two nights at our favourite pet-friendly Best Western at Chocolate Lake from where the drive to Peggy’s Cove was just a short jaunt.
The weather was great, the wind manageable, and visitors few! It always feels great to get back to Peggy’s Cove, the ubiquitous Nova Scotia landmark.
Much of my time has been spent resting and getting my strength back. At home housework was calling and hard to ignore… this little mini-vacation was just right.
Happy Friday. Best wishes, Anna
I do love Peggy’s Cove. Of course the rocks and lighthouse are interesting but I my favourite points of interest are the buildings and docks across the bay from the lighthouse. Hope you’re starting to feel better Anna. Take Care!

Starting to get stronger. Getting away for a bit without demands has certainly helped. Thanks!

Around every corner in Peggy’s Cove is another picture opportunity. You were great to get pictures without people in them because the Cove is so famous it has people from all over the world at all times of the year. I love a trip there and should go more often. It is a beautiful drive from our house (soon to be sold) the long way around along St. Margaret’s Bay. So relaxing and gorgeous. That us saying a lot have lived in British Columbia and camped many weeks and weekends in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta.
