Between Heaven and Earth: Textures, Textures Everywhere!

The intention was to get some fresh air at Partridge Island Beach. The reward was the most fantastic sky. But wait, turning toward Crane Bluff we experienced textured colour of a different kind…

On the way back to the car we stumbled across this fabulous driftwood log. It was too good not to spend some time documenting.

What unexpected treasures the beach presented tonight!

The most unexpected surprise was waiting for me as I rolled into the driveway. Out of the corner of my eye a black and white flash caught my attention. I was hopeful that it might be our resident bald eagle swooping in for a visit. I carefully approached through the backyard.

Patience pays off…

And this is the reason why we check the sky before we let our ShihTzus out to romp around!

What a way to celebrate the August long weekend! I hope your Monday was extra special! Anna

  1. First, Fantastic Sky indeed. I used to think Saskatchewan skies were the ultimate in scope and phantasmagorical cloud formations but your photos of these remarkable cloud formations prove Nova Scotia skies are also feasts for the eyes and imagination Anna. As for the flight of the bald eagle, congratulations for so skilfully capturing his arc. This was thrilling to follow, surely a sacred ending to very texturally rich day that you have shared with your readers. Thank you.

  2. I loved the video of the resident eagle and I’m glad he returned for a visit. However, you know me & trees. I spent quite a few minutes studying the tree/log photos. I see an art piece using one of them in the future. I’ll get permission from you if I decide to use it.
