Two Destinations – One Tour!

Great opportunity to use my German skills with these two couples from south-western Germany! We explored small parts of Soley Cove and Thomas Cove in the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark.

Back to the beach…

Destination Clarke Head Arch with this great couple from Switzerland! These two world travellers whole-heartedly approve of the Parrsboro Shore.❤️

The Season Continues…

Once more with feeling: Soley Cove with Joyce and Tim from Virginia! A glorious day all around♥️

Fun in the Sun at Soley Cove…

Texas to Soley Cove: a fun-loving, energetic family ocean floor walk full of sunshine and gentle breezes… Summer continues in the Bay of Fundy! It was such a pleasure to meet this Dallas-based family and watch how much they loved their custom tour.

The light!!

An Anniversary to Remember!

There is no better way to celebrate 50 years together than experiencing the Meeting of the Waters! This lovely couple enjoyed every moment of their ocean floor excursion. ♥️

Another great Soley Cove Excursion!

September ocean floor walks are the best! What a pleasure it was to take this group to Soley Cove to witness the Aeolian Sandstone Cliffs with their high tide markings, watch the tide turning and even taste the odd sea olive😁

Tidal Bore Extravaganza!!!

The Fundy Discovery Site in Lower Truro marks the first of the Cliffs of Fundy GeoSite. I had the opportunity to witness the tidal bore at this location in the past. By coincident I was able to arrive about 30 minutes before today’s bore arrival and it was worth joining the rest of the visitorsContinue reading “Tidal Bore Extravaganza!!!”

Amazing views! Wards Brook Formation revisited – Epic tour! The perfect way to spend another sunny day in Cumberland County, NS.

Soley Cove in September

September started on a positive note! These fun-loving folk on their way to an Airstream meet-up stopped by to walk on the ocean floor! What a great bunch: their curiosity and sense of wonder made for some magical moments. Soley Cove never disappoints.

And once more with feeling: Soley Cove!!

What’s a tour operator to do when a last minute request arrives? You take this lovely Dutch family out on the ocean floor, of course! After these three shared that they were disappointed with the trail closures, as they had intended to explore Nova Scotia as avid hikers, I was glad I abandoned my originalContinue reading “And once more with feeling: Soley Cove!!”

The day was perfect with sunshine, blue skies dotted with puffy clouds and the Minas Basin smooth as a mirror! This sets a new record: 26 tours in one month… looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

A free day calls for a contemplative hike to Clarke Head Arch!

A glorious day to blow the cobwebs from my mind! Clarke Head Arch never lets me down.

When there are fewer than 24 hours notice…

…to plan a special morning tour that even interests the teenagers in the family! The weather cooperated to pull off a special birthday “Meeting of the Waters Tour” early this morning for a lovely family from Boston!

Spicer’s Cove and Edgett’s Beach near Apple River

Treasures emerge as the tide recedes at Spicer’s Cove and Edgett’s Beach. The sun treated is to a beautiful day – perfect for a beach excursion with friends. Hurricane Erin spared this part of Nova Scotia and we are grateful… although rain would be very much appreciated!

Touring Soley Cove with Gummibears in your Backpack…

Seeing Soley Cove through the eyes of this family from Alberta was a highlight of this summer! As summer vacation time draws to a close I could not have asked for a more engaging group that reserved this afternoon for the last guided family tour of the summer.

Finding common ground… the smiles tell all!

International multigenerational family from Massachusetts and Siberia vacationing in Nova Scotia! Two Islands and Wasson’s Bluff beaches offered something for everyone❤️

Sunday at Five Islands Provincial Park

We love it when “old clients” return with a younger family member! Great times with Kathleen, Bob and Zach while looking for mud piddocks, hermit crabs and exploring the geology at Five Islands Provincial Park.

Saturday Morning in the Cove…

Eagles and Sunshine- the perfect combo for a day on the ocean floor with participants from Truro and Toronto today. These two teens were super engaged and took full advantage of checking out the caves, climbing a few of the rocks and flowerpots, they discovered green crabs, found a few pretty shells, captured the eaglesContinue reading “Saturday Morning in the Cove…”
