Blue Sky – No Snow
After a warm and windy day yesterday the air was chilly… but the white stuff had disappeared!
Wind and Rain… in Amherst
I spent some time walking around the side streets of Amherst. I just love the historical brick buildings! Even on a dreary day, downtown Amherst has some real gems!
The Driftwood Log…
…hiding sparkling treasures. Happy Sunday!

Soley Cove on a Sunday Morning
Our internet was restored a short while ago and I can finally post the great photos from the Soley Cove excursion yesterday morning. It was my pleasure to take the new owners of the Parrsboro Mansion on a complimentary ocean floor tour. We had planned this outing for several weeks. Yesterday everything was perfect: theContinue reading “Soley Cove on a Sunday Morning”
Special Tour
After much planning, a couple cancellations due to sickness we finally got out to Soley Cove for a complimentary tour for Parrsboro Accommodation providers! I would love to post more images but Parrsboro and area has been without internet since Saturday morning… one picture is all I can manage to upload a day! Stay tunedContinue reading “Special Tour”
Awe Inspiring…
The Cliffs of Fundy Geopark shoreline never ceases to amaze!
Thomas Cove Economy Loop Trail
After a quick hike around the Thomas Cove Economy Trail Loop we said good bye to our Saskatchewan friends today. This 4 km loop shows off some of the best the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark has to offer: lush woodlands contrasting against red sandstone cliffs. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
Quick Excursion to Cape d’Or
We were so pleased to reconnect with our friends from Saskatchewan today. Susan and Brian are spending some time in Nova Scotia. Knowing how much they love to discover new landscapes we made the late afternoon decision to make a quick trip to Cape d’Or. The light and the cliffs did not disappoint!
Red Cliffs along the Cliffs of Fundy Global UNESCO Geopark
So many beaches, each unique and awe inspiring!
Two Islands
Always a fabulous experience: Eagle and Gull Islands near Parrsboro.
Just a few…
…of my favourite things! Can’t wait to get outside again!
The Cliffs of Fundy Geopark Hike Challenge Badge…
…just claimed top position on the sleeve of my fleece hiking jacket! It arrived last week. Despite my excitement I could not muster the energy to sew the badge into place! I caught a nasty bug that had me down for the last five days. I am on the mend though: sewing on the badgeContinue reading “The Cliffs of Fundy Geopark Hike Challenge Badge…”
Special Tour Day
About a week ago an email arrived inquiring about availability for an all-day tour for two artists. Today was the day we negotiated and we packed a lot into ten hours. First Stop: Crane Point near Ottawa House. We were keeping an eye on the incoming tide. The tide cut us off on the wayContinue reading “Special Tour Day”

Remembrance Day at Hidden Falls
Between the rain squalls I managed to get out for a short excursion. Hidden Falls was the perfect destination. There was a lot to appreciate still despite the fact that all the leaves were down. You just never know what you find in the woods… And the falls never disappoint! Crossing the brook was notContinue reading “Remembrance Day at Hidden Falls”
Four Seasons Retreat – A True Gem Along the Fundy Shore
Yesterday was one of those days where the weather wouldn’t make up its mind. There was a real chill in the air and just when it was time to get on the road for a meeting it started to snow. The weather was perfect to get me in the mood for the meeting: I wasContinue reading “Four Seasons Retreat – A True Gem Along the Fundy Shore”
