Bitter-sweet…

…our last mindfulness photography session at Five Islands Provincial Park this afternoon was a windy event! The waves were crashing onto the shore with the tide approaching their highest levels. We caught one last glimpse at the 200 million year old dinosaur print first spotted last Monday:

Geodiversity Day 2025

Geodiversity Day 2025 recap from Sunrise to Sunset: Spencer’s Island Beach fossil search to Lower Truro Tidal Bore to Five Islands Beach Geopark Logo creation and discovering a 200 million year old dinosaur foot print… the day was perfect! Thank you to all who attended – we couldn’t have raked the Bay of Fundy withoutContinue reading “Geodiversity Day 2025”

Anticipating GeoDiversity Day 2025

Geodiversity Day Eve… Spencer’s Island from Golden Hour to Moon Rise. Deep Exhale….

From your guide to your participant…

I had the distinct pleasure of joining historian Dr. Jeff Orr on a Parrsboro historic sites tour at dusk last night. Highly recommend this guided tour with all proceeds going to the Parrsborough Shore Historical Society for the upgrades of interpretive panels.

Following the tide out…

Two Islands Beach with two Besties since Grade 1! What a fantastic way to spend a Saturday Afternoon😁

From one to three… all it took was a phone call!

When a booking for one turns into a booking for three over breakfast at The Mansion Inn… and I get to spend the day exploring with lovely folk from New Hampshire and Virginia!

Autumn Driving Tour

Love returning clients who have a sense of adventure: we explored some key Geopark sites on a nine hour tour. Loved our time around the Eatonville Day use area, Squally Point Shore, Spicer’s Cove and Edgett’s Beach! ♥️♥️♥️

Autumn Sunrise…

When your day starts at 4:45 am to guide an early tour to experience a 7:10 am sunrise… so very peaceful!

Mindfulness Photography, anyone?

Another good turn out for our free Mindfulness Photography session at Five Island Provincial Park this afternoon! Thanks to all who travelled the distance and explored texture, pattern and dot in space📷♥️

Autumn Vibes: Time for New Experiences on the Ocean Floor

There is no denying that autumn has arrived! It’s the time to check out our new “Hike & Sip” and “Hike & Savour” packages on our website and Tourism Nova Scotia’s site. https://novascotia.com/package/clarke-head-ocean-floor-hike-sip/ https://novascotia.com/package/hike-savour-adventure/

Autumn Morning Fog and more

It has been a day filled with beautiful scenery, human interaction and weighing future endeavours: from experiencing fog-shrouded vistas to meeting students at Springhill Highschool during their career day, the afternoon was filled spending time with Jon from Raven Productions capturing scenery in and around Parrsboro for a special project.

And it’s a Wrap!

Peach in the sky made for the perfect start to a Meeting of the Waters excursion, the last for this season! It was a real pleasure to take this young , professional couple from Toronto (far from the 401 hustle and bustle…) out this morning.

The Sun Rises Later… Autumnal Vibes Whilst The Waters Converge!

Early light: perfect for the second last Meeting of the Waters Tour for 2025! This lovely couple from North Bay, ON enjoyed their private tour experiencing the tidal waters rushing in🌊

Mindfulness Photography at Five Islands Provincial Park

Excellent turn out for our first ever free mindfulness photography session at Five Islands Provincial Park last Friday afternoon! Interested? Our next session takes place on Saturday, September 27th from 2-4 pm in the Day use area. Look for the sign!

One year later: Economy Falls Trail

Economy Falls revisited: tranquility pur and just look at those new stairs leading to the pool! The whole trail is only 2.5 km but allow for elevation changes and note the non-standard stair tread height. This trail is sure to work up a good sweat!

Free Fall Hikes Kick-off Event a Huge Success!

Off to a great start: We had a fantastic turn out for our first Hike NS fall event in the Cliffs of Fundy Geopark. The destination: Brookville Formation. Thank you Heather and Larry for co-leading and thank you to all who attended! Stay tuned for our next hike: Soley Cove, October 18th. Pre-registration required.
